Handmade Deba knife with a traditional chisel grind. Deba knives are thick, heavy knives with a single super sharp bevel on one side. This Deba is for the right hand. Debas are traditionally used for slicing fish in Japan, but are are also commonly used for cutting meat here in the U.S.
Handmade deba profile of CPM154 stainless steel with a hardness rating of 62. The blade measures 6 5/8" (170mm) and 11 1/2" (292mm) overall. The handle is a beautiful combination of stacked African Wenge and Bocote featuring a brass ferule and single brass pins at the butt. 9.7 ounces.
Handmade mini cleaver of carbon damascus in random pattern. This knife has been handled in locally sourced Smokewood with a ferule of African Wenge, a spacer of white G10 and brass pins. The overall length is 8". 5.1 oz.
The African Wenge board measures approximately 6"x12".
6" cleaver fully forged of carbon 1095 steel recycled from an automobile leaf spring. The forge markings are left intact along the spine for interest. The handle is of coffee burlap bag set in resin. The bolster and pins are of copper. Overall length is 11". This blade comes with a custom leather sheath made by Aaron Baker of Trouble&Trace.
