Handmade MK1 folder of CTS-XHP steel features a hollow grind on a hand sanded, stone washed finish. The milled titanium frame has an orange peel finish and a floating bronze backspacer. The hardware is 416 hardened stainless steel with bronze washers. The open length of the folder is 8 1/4" and measures 4 3/4" when closed.
CTS-XHP (Carpenter) - As per Carpenter, CTS-XHP is an air hardening, high carbon, high chromium, corrosion resistant alloy which can be described as either a high hardness type 440C stainless steel or a corrosion resistant D2 tool steel.
Handmade 190mm/7.5" hybrid santoku of fully forged and tumbled AEB-L stainless steel. The tumbling gives a textured look to the blade, just below the forge markings. The handle is of maple burl collected from Zack's farm in Albemarle County, VA that was dyed in our shop.The greens and browns look like a satellite view of the earth! The bolster and pins are of copper. Overall length of 315mm/12.5". 6.9 oz.
